Holy cow! The Cubs held on to beat the Nationals 5-4 on Monday behind a nice start by Eddie Butler and a leadoff homer by Willson Contreras. That's Cub.
Javy Baez had another spectacular night, with two great catches and a nice stat line: 2 H, 1 R, 1 RBI, and 1 SB. Four other Cubs hitters each added an RBI on the night, and Chicago had a 5-0 lead entering the ninth before Washington -- and the Cubs' bullpen -- made things interesting.
The series continues Tuesday in DC.
Go Cubs go!
