Holy cow! The Cubs offense exploded on Saturday night in Philadelphia in a 17-2 win. Kyle Hendricks had a dominant start (7 IP, 8 K, 2 ER) and six Chicago home runs put the game out of reach.
Tommy LaStella hit two homers (3-for-5, 2 R, 4 RBI), as did Anthony Rizzo (3-for-5, 3 R, 5 RBI). Kyle Hendricks supported his own cause with his bat (2 hits & 2 RBI -- both in the same inning!), and KB & Zobrist also homered for the Cubs. Chicago's offense was a model of efficiency, as 17 of their 20 baserunners touched home.
The series wraps up Sunday in Philly before the Cubs head back to Wrigley for a six-game homestand.
Go Cubs go!
