Hey hey! The Cubs continued their hot road trip Saturday night, downing the Mets 7-1 in extras. Mike Montgomery had another outing in place of the injured Yu Darvish, tossing a quality start (6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 4 K) before turning it over to the bullpen. Chicago's relievers combined for 8 innings of shutout ball.
Albert Almora broke things open in the 14th with a two-run double. Ben Zobrist added another two-run double, and NL RBI leader Javy Baez capped off the scoring with a pinch-hit, two-run homer.
J-Hey had another big night, going 4-for-5 and raising his season average to .271. Zo's 2-for-6 night raised his average to .306 on the season. That's Cub.
