Hey hey! The Comeback Cubs beat the Dodgers in 10 innings Tuesday night at Wrigley, overcoming a 1-0 deficit by tying the game in the 7th and scoring in the 10th to win 2-1. Mike Montgomery continued to shine in a starting role, notching his fourth consecutive quality start (6 IP, 1 ER, 5 K).
Kyle Schwarber's solo homer tied the game in the 7th, and Kris Bryant led off the 10th with a triple. LA intentionally walked Javier Baez, and Albert Almora drove in Bryant with a walk-off RBI single. That's Cub.
Montgomery's ERA as a starter this year dropped to 1.21, and the Cubs bullpen tossed four innings of shutout ball to secure the win.
The series wraps up on Wednesday at Wrigley.
Go Cubs go!
