Holy cow! The Cubs shut out the Brewers on Tuesday 3-0 behind a quality start from Jose Quintana (6.2 IP, 7 K, 0 ER), 2.1 perfect innings of relief, some offensive efficiency (3 runs on 3 hits), and some stellar defense.
All three Chicago runs scored with Victor Caratini at bat: a throwing error, an RBI single, and an RBI double. The only other Cub hit was from Javier Baez, who scored on Caratini's single. Addison Russell made a spectacular play to rob Ryan Braun of a base hit for the second out in the ninth, and Pedro "Hats Left" Strop struck out Schoop to end the game. That's Cub.
