Tough one at Wrigley on Wednesday night for the first place Cubs, who head to DC Thursday for a controversial makeup game against the Nationals. Then it's back to Wrigley for a rare Friday night game to kick off a weekend series against the Reds.
Chicago has a favorable schedule, at least matchup-wise, coming up: 10 of their next 14 games are against sub-.500 teams. On top of that, their final seven games are at home.
The race for the Central title will make this a September to remember, which seems fitting for the best division in the NL. 145 regular season games down, 17 to go.
Go Cubs go!
