Holy cow! The Cubs beat the Padres 7-5 on Wednesday night in San Diego behind a 2-for-3 night from Contreras, 2 RBI apiece from Rivas & Schwindel, and a two-inning save from Wick.
The win gave the North Siders their first series win since their first of the year, when they took two out of three from the Brewers.
The road trip continues Thursday in Phoenix. 30 games down, 132 to go.
