Holy cow! The Cubs beat the Tigers 6-4 on Wednesday behind two RBI from Cody Bellinger and 3.1 scoreless innings from the bullpen, including Adbert Alzolay's 19th save of the season.

The Cubs took an early 4-0 lead before starter Jameson Taillon ran into trouble in the 5th, giving up a grand slam to Kerry Carpenter. An RBI single from Gomes in the 8th and an RBI sacrifice fly by Hoerner in the 9th gave the North Siders the lead and an insurance run.

The Cubs kick off a four-game series in Pittsburgh on Thursday before heading back to the Friendly Confines to host the first place Brewers for a three-game set that starts on Monday.

126 games down, 36 to go. Go Cubs go!
