Hey hey! The Cubs beat the Angels 5-1 on Friday behind Justin Steele's first career complete game (9 IP, 1 ER, 7 K). Steele needed only 95 pitches to get through the afternoon, supported by a two-run homer from Seiya Suzuki, a 2-for-3, two RBI day from Ian Happ, and some stellar defense from Miles Mastrobuoni.
Happ is on fire, with 38 RBI and eleven home runs over his last 36 games.
The series continues Saturday at Wrigley.
89 games down, 73 to go.
Go Cubs go!
